     Developed by advisers for advisers Biodiversity and Environmental Training for Advisers (BETA) is a new qualification BASIS designed to strengthen the environmental knowledge and competence of advisers.

Application has also been identified as an area where knowledge can be strengthened; BASIS as of June 2004 have highlighted application technology as a seperate area in which agronomists should obtain CPD point
