- Consider whether returnable containers, if available, are a practical solution.
- Always thoroughly clean pesticide container prior to disposal by pressure rinsing or triple rinsing.
- After 15th May 2006, the only legal option for pesticide container disposal in England and Wales is to use a specialist waste disposal contractor.

Farm Waste Regulations Changing
New farm waste regulations are being introduced in the United Kingdom. The regulations vary from region to region but in principle this means that the burning of pesticide containers on farm will become illegal in England and Wales from 15th May 2006. However, the use of a a drum incinerator will be permitted for 12 months.
